for ‘The Dreadlock Deadlock’
I was reading ‘The Dreadlock Deadlock" in Newsweek’s article around 2001, about Christopher Polk, a Rastafarian whom being fired from his job because he reject to hide his dreadlock. And then my Lectrurer asked me about what will I do if there is someone told me not to use or show symbol of faith.
Well, Symbol can be a manifest of something and it always contain of meaning. I definetely will say NO if my professir or anyone else asked me to put off my symbol of faith. No one! Why? Well, just like Kennel Jackson said on that article, "There’s a divinity to these locks." Yes! Indeed. There is divinity to evert symbol of faith. And since I’m a writer, I will write my sweet & polite arguments with not so juvenil writings, so he/she can read it slowly and perhaps rethinking about his/hers decision for not allowing me or others to use our symbol of faith.
Hmm … that’s all for today. So sorry for not much writing. I’m very busy with my soul right. She needs me. Very much.
